Mufti Nazir Ahmad Qasmi Urges Parents to Ensure Daughters’ Safety and Well-being, Including at Night
During a seminar on “Istiqbal-e-Ramadhan” at Mirwaiz Manzil Rajouri Kadal in Srinagar, a prominent religious cleric, Mufti Nazir Ahmad Qasmi, urged parents to prioritize their children’s education and future prospects. He emphasized the need for parents to take responsibility for their children’s well-being and protect them from harm.
Mufti Nazir Qasmi observed that while many parents are focused on sending their children to the best schools and colleges for quality education, they often neglect to check if their children are aware of basic Islamic teachings such as the Kalima. He stressed that youth should be made aware of the teachings of Islam, especially regarding their behavior with elders, parents, and others, to prevent the rise of violent crimes in Kashmir.
The religious cleric also highlighted the importance of parents being careful and vigilant about their daughters’ activities, including their whereabouts, who they are meeting, and where they spend their nights. This is particularly important given the rise in crimes against women in the region.
Overall, Mufti Nazir Ahmad Qasmi’s message emphasized the importance of a holistic approach to parenting, which includes not only providing quality education but also imparting Islamic teachings and ensuring the safety and well-being of children, especially daughters.
